THE 2000 to 2016 TOUR FILES

In this section you'll find the reviews of my bootleg CD's from the period 2000 up to now. All the albums got separate ratings. First there is the audio rating. Based on the sound quality of the source. Are there much distractions, glitches, hiss etc. Clear sound is also an important point in this grading. Then there is the 'entertainment value' of a concert. Here I combine Meat's voice with the songs in the set list and the performance of the songs and interaction with the crowd. The average of both is the 'total' score out of a 5 star grading.

09-07-2001  Meat Loaf Live at Caesar's Palace                           (audience)

In September 2001 Meat Loaf played Caesar's Palace on the 7th and 8th. Just a month before the European 'Night of the Proms' Tour. The concert in Atlantic City is a 'stand alone' concert and a mixture of 'the Very Best of...', 'Storytellers' and the upcoming 'Having Fun' tour. The audio on this one sounds pretty good at times. Unfortunately many incomplete songs.

Audio is very decent, most of the times. At parts it's a bit low. Many songs incomplete but still fun concert. Way above average. 4 out of 5 stars.

2001        Meat Loaf Live at the Night of the Proms                (TV Audio)

This CD from the Night of the Proms is a compilation of Meat Loaf's TV broadcasts. Sourced from Belgian, Dutch and German TV. The audio is ripped from the DVD that was made of this footage. So very good audio. Total Eclipse is performed by Bonnie Tyler. Paradise was edited for TV broadcast (they left out some of the fighting act). Good stuff altogether.

Audio is sourced from pro shot TV footage. So very good. Show is entertaining too. 4 out of 5 stars.

11-25-2001  Meat Loaf and the Proms in Rotterdam                (Audience)

Actually the audio quality of this bootleg  is very good. Some occasional audio chatter/noise. But this audience recording is very clear. Meat sounds great and the songs are really performed very well. This is from Rotterdam, November 25th, 2001. The Night of the Proms Caravan would return to Rotterdam a few more times in November/December

Great bootleg. The audio is very clear and the performance from Meat Loaf very solid. Good enough for 4 out of 5.

11-30-2001  Night of the Proms Live Radio Show             (Radio Broadcast)

Dutch Radio aired the complete live concert of the Night of the Proms on November 30th, 2001. Again from Ahoy in Rotterdam. The sound is just fantastic. Audio is clear, no side noises and very balanced. Track 5 is an interview with Meat from Dutch radio so part of it is Dutch spoken. The interview is in English, obviously.

Fantastic. The sound quality is a treat. Meat could have been slightly better but what a great Proms bootleg! 5 out of 5 stars from me!

12-07-2001  Meat Loaf and the Proms in Munchen                  (Audience)

From the German part of the Proms Tour. Meat Loaf in the Olympiahalle in Munich. From December 7th, 2001. The audio is not really bad it's just that there is so much side noise that it's annoying. People singing, chatting etc. Too bad because the taping sounds good when there are no interferences. I would stick with the Rotterdam bootleg(s)

Annoying audio on this bootleg makes it hard to enjoy the performance. That's why this gets a  3 out of 5 ranking from me!

This is an audio rip from the original TV broadcast of the Munchen show from December 8th, 2001. The sound quality is pretty good and the show entertaining. Again the same short set as on the other Proms bootlegs. Meat sounds good and this, being a pro shot CD, bootleg is much better as the Munchen CD above.

Good sound quality. Could have been better if it wasn't ripped from a TV broadcast. Also very nice show. 4 out of 5 stars.

The concert is from Pine Mountain, Michigan. It's complete but the sound is very mediocre. Lots of audience noise like screaming, singing and talking. There are some distortions on the audio too. Also the vocals sound a bit low. So not a good audience recording. Concert itself is pretty decent. Meat Loaf's voice is good here.

Sound quality is poor. Lots of noise from crowd and distortions. Concert is above average.  3 out of 5 ranking from me!

More audience chatting stuff on this bootleg from the Millennium Square in Leeds. Meat played here on July 25th and during the concert joked that the next day was his birthday. There is fun all around as Meat has great interaction with the crowd again. The audio is decent when there's not too much audience noise.

Reasonable sound for this audience taping. Too bad we hear too much from the crowd. Show is major fun . 4 out of 5 stars from me!

Very entertaining concert. Meat is really having fun here. The audio quality could have been a lot better though. Lots of audience noise. We hear talking, laughter, screaming and singing from the crowd. So much that, at times, it's hard to hear Meat Loaf. This is the complete concert including Patti's and Kasim's set.

Sound quality varies from poor to listenable. In other words it's not good. Concert is great though. Just for that  4 out of 5 stars from me!

Although the CD cover says September 29th this concert is actually from November 29th, 2002. Sourced from the audience recording VHS tape. The sound is okay but has a constant annoying buzz throughout the songs. As a bootleg CD the show is so-so. Go for the video bootleg if you want to enjoy this. It's also missing You Took the Words and Bat Out of hell.

The audio is not clear with that buzz around. The show is entertaining but incomplete. That's why it gets 3 out of 5 stars.

Just 6 tracks from the New Year's Eve concert Meat Loaf and his friends gave in Boca Raton, Florida. Sound is a bit low, there is some audience noise and a lot of rustling sounds from the microphone. Paradise is over 30 minutes and Meat Loaf has some funny moments. Overall very decent performance from meat Loaf. Too bad it's incomplete.

Audio is listenable but not good. Bit low and unbalanced at times. Also lots of side-noises. Just 6 tracks so only good for 2 out of 5 stars.

On January 27th, 2003 Meat Loaf performed one of the first promo concerts in the Köln Arena. 6 of the performed songs were later aired on German Radio. The sound quality is really great. It's clear and bright. Meat Loaf sounds good but with just 6 songs it's too hard to get a good impression of the concert itself. Great bootleg material, though.

The sound quality is very good. The songs are enjoyable and Meat sounds good too. 4 but out of 5 stars.

From the same concert as the above bootleg. Only this is an Audience recording of the complete show. Audio quality isn't really that great. The vocals are very low and there are some sound distortions here and there. Also enough crowd noise through the songs. Concert itself has a nice set list and Meat sounds good.

Here the audio quality spoils the fun for me. Too many side noises to really enjoy this show. 3 out of 5 stars.

On April 23rd, 2003, Meat Loaf visited the Netherlands and gave a great promo show in The Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, The audio on the bootleg is really good. Meat Loaf sounds great and there is loads of fun and great songs to enjoy. Tear me Down got screwed up which lead to hilarity. Being to this concert myself I tend to rate this bootleg very high.

Great audio for an audience taping. Sound is clear and full. Not the complete concert but enough to really enjoy. 4 out of 5 stars.

04-25-2003  Capitol Gold Radio Promo                                    (Radio Promo)

On his promotion tour Meat Loaf visited the Capitol Gold Radio Station, two days after the Amsterdam Concert on April 25th, and sat down to chat and talk about his latest album. In between he sang a few songs, had some laughs and talks about his past. Sound quality is very good and the songs are performed unplugged, which is nice to hear.

Very good sound quality. It's not a concert and can't be rated as one. But the show was entertaining enough for 3 out of 5 stars.

07-05-2003  Live in Plymouth                                                        (Audience)

A very entertaining concert. Live audience recording from Plymouth on July 5th, 2003. Unfortunately the audio isn't that good. Recorded by 'pepper' on a panasonic rq-a171 walkman. Vocals are very low and hard to hear. Meat Loaf sounds okay but the concert is also incomplete. Plymouth got a nice set list though.

The nice set list and decent performance by Meat Loaf suffers from the sound quality. Should get a 2.8 which means 3 out of 5 stars.

Exact same concert as above but from another source. This was recorded by a minidisk player and the sound is clearly better. Still a bit heavy but you can hear Meat Loaf clearly and the crowd noise is not too annoying. This also is the complete concert. with two more tracks at the end. So all in all a major upgrade compared to the other one.

Audio is a bit heavy with much bass but it's clear enough. The other one scored a 2.8, this one a 3.3. Also 3 out of 5 stars.

For the Annual Party at the Park, Meat Loaf performed for a gathering crowd of almost 100,000. He was only allowed to play for about 30 minutes and performed 3 songs. During Couldn't Have Said it Better there were some microphone issues. Bat Out of hell was edited for TV broadcast. Ripped from TV source so sound is really good.

Originally this concert was aired on Direct TV. The audio is ripped from that TV show. So there is nothing wrong with the sound of this bootleg. It's crisp and clear. Recorded on August 8th, 2003 at the National Auditorium in Mexico. This is one of those bootlegs that works better on CD as it does on video. Too bad the crowd is almost completely edited out.

Meat Loaf sounds a bit hoarse but the show is also very entertaining. Some great interaction with the crowd and a great set list to go with it. All in all a great bootleg.

Despite being an audience recording, taped outside in the rain, it is very clear. One of the best audience recordings I have in my collection. Meat and the show are also very good.

Sound quality is perfect and I like the songs that were picked for this CD. Although the performances could have been better.

Meat Loaf sounds good during this concert from October 25th, 2003. There are also plenty of entertaining and funny moments to be found on this bootleg.

In many ways this bootlegs can be compared to the Halle CD right above. The Exact same set list, the performance is equally good and the sound quality, although slightly less, suffers from the same issues as Halle. This concert in Frankfurt is from October 27. Which could explain the many similarities.

Exact same set list as the other German bootlegs above but Meat's voice is considerably worse. Audio is overall good but suffers from crowd noise and microphone rustles occasionally.

11-02-2003  Live from Trier, Germany                                         (Audience)

The first thing I noticed about this concert in Germany's Trier from November 2nd, 2003 was the change in the set list. It's the same as the above ones only Rock and Roll dreams was replaced by Frying Pan. The sound is very decent for an audience recording. So far the best sound quality from the German part of the tour.

11-05-2003  Live from Berlin, Germany                                         (Audience)

This is not the complete concert. It's missing the final parts of the show. Audio is below average. There is annoying crowd noise at times and there is plenty of distortions going on in the audio. Meat Loaf sounds okay although hoarse at parts. There is plenty of entertainment going on. Still I prefer all the above German bootlegs over this one.

Not that good of sound quality. Audio suffers from some sort of distortion most of the time. A generous 3 out of 5 stars.

11-11-2003  Live from the NEC, Birmingham                               (Audience)

This was the first of two visits at the NEC in Birmingham. Recorded on November 11th, 2003 from the audience. Still one of the better sounding bootlegs from this tour. Audio is loud and not too much side noises. Also a great and complete concert. Meat Loaf sounds good too. Best to compare this with Oberhausen.

Good clear audio. Nice performances by Meat Loaf. All in all a very entertaining bootleg. 4 out of 5 stars.

11-17-2003  Live from the Wembley Arena, London                     (Audience)

This is the concert in London on November 17th, 2003 where Meat Loaf had to stop the show because he couldn't continue, being sick. The concert was just under an hour when Meat started Anything For Love, but after the opening chorus he apologized to the crowd and told them he was sorry not being able to continue. Audio quality is decent. Meat not so, being sick.

Audio is decent. Clear vocal sounds. Meat Loaf sounds energetic considering he had to stop after an hour. 3 out of 5 stars.

12-11-2003  Live from the NEC, Birmingham                              (Audience)

This was the 2nd night at the NEC exactly a month after the first visit. This is from December 11th. Same set list as before but in a complete different order. Sound of this one is pretty good if it weren't for the glitches and small edits during songs. They appear just too often. Meat Loaf had a good concert although I prefer the other Birmingham concert. Paradise misses parts.

Audio is clear if it wasn't for the glitches that appear frequently. Concert itself is good. 3 out of 5 stars.

01-11-2004  Live from Cardiff                                                           (Audience)

Personally I like this concert bootleg a lot. The audio is very good. Especially for an audience taping. The concert sounds as if Meat Loaf was having major fun. The show feels energetic with a great set list. Sound quality is just a treat. It's clear although the second part of the show suffers a little from the crowd whistles. Great CD. Recorded on January 11th, 2004.

Very good sound quality on this one. Together with a great concert this is a winner! 4 out of 5 stars.

01-13-2004  Live in Manchester                                                      (Audience)

Overall this has good sound. But it's rudely disturbed by some major glitches that happen quite often. When it's glitch free the sound is clear and loud. Some songs have minor edit issues. The concert is nice but not as good as Cardiff that happened two days earlier. This was taped on January 13th, 2004 at the Manchester Evening News Arena.

Too bad about the many glitches and small edits. Otherwise this would be a great audience recording. Anyway 3 out of 5 stars.

01-19-2004  Live in Newcastle                                                     (Audience)

The sound on this bootleg is very low. It's pretty clear though but it needs some volume boosting. The concert is fun to listen to. No real crowd noises that bother some bootlegs. Meat Loaf even performs I'd Lie for You again. I guess he had a great time at this concert too. From Newcastle, January 19th, 2004.

Audio is pretty good if you boost the volume. Set list of this concert was a treat with I'd Lie For You. A rock solid 3 out of 5 stars.

This concert makes it clear that meat Loaf's voice has suffered a lot from this tour and him becoming ill during it. Still a very nice concert and the sound quality is just great. Another very entertaining audience taping. Standard set list. But it's again a complete set. From the Wembley Arena show in London, January 24th, 2004.

I love the sound quality of this bootleg CD. Entertaining show to complete this superb bootleg. 4 out of 5 stars.

02-20-2004  The Full Melbourne Concert                                (Soundboard)

This is the perfect end for this Last World Tour. Soundboard material. This 3 disc set contains all the songs from the official DVD release combined with the soundboard versions that never made it to the DVD. What you get is a full packed rock CD with a great performance of Meat Loaf. Recorded over two nights at the Rod Laver Arena on February 20th and 22nd 2004. This is the bootleg to get! Sound quality is just perfect. The show is a treat. Meat Loaf is a joy to hear.

If a bootleg CD is this good there is only one grade it deserves. This gets a much earned 5 out of 5 stars.

02-24-2004  The MSO Concert from Sydney                               (Audience)

Two days after recording the DVD with the Melbourne Orchestra, Meat Loaf played at the Sydney Entertainment Center. Again with the MSO. The show is very similar to the Melbourne one, with almost the same set. It's missing the encore and For Crying out Loud. On the other hand, Meat sounds more relaxed making this a better performance

Sound is very nice. Vocals are clear with some audio noise. No distortions. Meat seems relaxed making it a great show. 4 out of 5 stars.

06-03-2005  Hair of the Dog in Hannover                                    (Audience)

This was the very first show of the Hair of the Dog tour. And it is a very nice bootleg. I obtained this from a German fan who recorded this with his minidisc. Some minor issues and audience chatter but overall I like this recording. It has a weird intro of German chatter and then misses the first two songs. But a great addition to my collection.

Sound is nice. Overall good balance and vocals are clear. And because it's the first show of the tour it's extra interesting to me. 3 out of 5 stars.

Very decent sound on this audience recording. Recorded during the Open Air Saison Festival in Bonn, Germany on June 6th, 2005. Meat Loaf toured four months with his Hair Of The Dog concerts. During the European leg he mainly played open air festivals. His voice here is not that great. Quite some audio noise during the songs too.

Meat Loaf's voice is not that strong here and the audio, though quite good and clear, suffers from too much crowd noise. 3 out of 5 stars.

If you want a great quality bootleg, just leave it to the Dutch. Seriously I don't think I have a bad sounding bootleg from the Netherlands. I'm proud of my countrymen. Best sounding bootleg of the Hair of the Dog Tour. From Lichtervoorde, the Netherlands on June 11th, 2005. Meat sounds okay. Concert is entertaining though.

Great audio for an audience recording. You can hear the crowd but not in an annoying way. This gets 4 out of 5 stars.

06-18-2005  Hair of the Dog Dublin                                             (Audience)

There are different issues with this bootleg. The sound is very heavy and the vocals are at times very hard to make out. Also the casual crowd noise here and there. Some fades in songs to make it even worse. Not a fan of this bootleg. But it's complete and Meat sounds okay. Same set list plus Two Out of Three. From Dublin, June 18th, 2005.

I got to be honest. This is just bad audio. The concert is also just about average. 3 out of 5 stars.

06-22-2005  Hair of the Dog in Munchen                                    (Audience)

This one is even worse than Dublin. The audio suffers from a consistent bass distortion. Very unpleasant to listen to. Still it's the complete show. Meat Loaf does his best and the show seems okay. But as I said, unpleasant to listen to this bootleg. Recorded in June 22nd at the Tollwood Festival in Munchen, Germany.

There isn't much positive to say about the sound of this bootleg. Takes away the joy of listening. 2 out of 5 stars.

This audience recording from the Open Festival in Rastatt, Germany is just slightly better as the one above. The sound has no bass distortions but lots of crowd noise. The concert is again very average although I must admit that the Hair of the Dog Tour never really gained my interest. Meat Loaf sounds okay again. Nothing special though.

Audio is clear enough but too many crowd noise spoils any possible fun. Meat does a good job but that's it. 3 out of 5 stars.

Not the complete concert, It's missing the last three songs. From Mainz, Germany on June 25th, 2005. The sound quality on this one is pretty good except for the many crowd noises that are all over the place. But Meat loaf's vocal is clear and the sound has hardly any distortions. Concert is entertaining enough too.

Reasonable audio and reasonable concert. Meat Loaf's vocals are okay. Concert is incomplete though. 3 out of 5 stars.

06-28-2005  Hair of the Dog in Hamburg                                  (Audience)

This is the complete recording of the concert in Hamburg, Germany. Unfortunately perhaps the worst recording of this tour. It's hard to hear the vocals during the show and even the instruments are very low. Lots of crowd noise, though. Because of this it is hard to hear and rate the concert.

Concert is hard to hear. Both because of the loud crowd noises and the low sound mix. This makes me give the bootleg barely 2 out of 5 stars.

Unfortunately the audio isn't quite in balance. Besides that it's a very decent audience taping. Of course there is crowd noise but not as bad as in some other bootlegs from this tour. Meat Loaf sounds okay but this tour never got a real great vocal performance from Meat. Still energetic and fun complete concert. From Blickling Hall in Norfolk. July 15th, 2005

A somewhat unbalanced bootleg. Which is a shame because this could have been a good sound recording. 3 out of 5 stars.

This bootleg comes, quality wise, reasonably close to the Arrow Classic bootleg of this tour. Sound is quite good and not too much crow noise to irritate me. Concert from Warwick Castle, Warwick on July 16th, 2005. For some reason Black Betty ended up one of the lasts tracks on CD 2 while it was played as the third song.

Pretty decent audio. One of the better sounding bootlegs of this tour. Show is quite entertaining too. 3 out of 5 stars.

Another bootleg that had the potential to be much better. Actually overall the sound is quite good. Okay so there is the occasional noise from the crowd but it's not that bad. The major problem is that the vocals tend to get very low and hard to understand at times. The show is entertaining for this tour. Recorded at the Big Top, Liverpool on July 18th, 2005.

Decent audio. Sometimes missing the clearness of the vocals but overall not bad at all. Show was just above average. 3 out of 5 stars.

Great sound quality! Perhaps even better than the Arrow Classic Rock bootleg. Loud and clear audio. Vocals are very clear and minimum crowd noise. Great bootleg material. Meat sounds again okay and the concert is as average as the entire tour. Recorded at the Sunset Festival in Zurich on July 20th, 2005.

Meat Loaf played three nights at the Beacon Theater in New York. This is from the first night, August 5th, 2005. The audio quality isn't all to bad. Sometimes the vocals sound a bit low and there is enough crowd noise to get your attention. But this one is very acceptable. The show is just okay but nothing too special. This is the 2nd night of the trilogy at the Beacon Theater in New York City. It's a fun show and everyone is having a good time. The bootleg from the first night is better than this one though. On this recording the audio has continues distortion issues. Still the vocals are clear. And the show is complete. So a nice addition to the collection.

The audio suffers from distortion. Some audience noise as well. It's a fun show though but because of the distortion this gets 2 out of 5 stars.

Still the first night remains the better bootleg. There is some audience noise during the show but no distortions. Meat sounds as good as on the other nights. So the first is the one to get.

Another great sounding bootleg from the U.S. leg of the Hair of the Dog Tour. In fact I consider this the best audience recording of this tour. The sound is a bit heavy but also very clear. This is the complete concert from Cleveland, Ohio recorded on September 8th, 2005. Meat Loaf's vocals are certainly not bad on this concert.

Superb audience recording. Great clear sound although a bit heavy. Concert is also quite entertaining. 4 out of 5 stars.

This is the exact same concert as the one above. I even think it's the same source. But for some reason the sound on this one is much better. It doesn't sound as heavy as the other bootleg and there are no vocal sound issues here. So if this was remixed they did a great job. One of  the better CD's of this tour.

The audio is good and the concert is still one of the better ones from this tour. Better audio but same rating. 3 out of 5 stars.

10-18-2006  Live at Ken Bruce, BBC Radio                             (Radio Promo)

Wow this was... terrible. On October 18th Meat Loaf sat down at the BBC Radio Studios. Promoting Bat III and the tour. They performed some songs live. Paradise actually has the All Revved Up intro that was used for the concerts. Apart from that Meat loaf sounds not good and it can be hardly called a promo-show. This should be forgotten

Good audio. But that could be expected from a radio show. Meat Loaf is not in great shape which is a let down. 2 out of 5 stars.

Great sound quality with clear vocals and little crowd noise. The show is very average. Which is good for a Bat 3 show. I just don't like Meat Loaf's vocals on any of the shows from this tour. It's the complete concert. Recorded just a day after taping the Ontario London DVD, on March 20th, 2007 at the Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario.

This has pretty good audio. Concert is not bad at all and Meat sounds about okay. 3 out of 5 stars.

05-29-2007  Seizing Sheffield                                                          (Audience)

One of the best audience recordings around. And this gets matched with actually a pretty decent show too. Sound is crisp and clear. Hardly any side noises whatsoever. Meat Loaf sounds very decent and the show is also entertaining. If you want a Bat 3 show then this is it. Better than the released DVD anyway. This is the second of two Sheffield concerts that Meat gave.

Really great audio. Wish some of the other tours had sound quality like this. Good concert for this tour. 4 out of 5 stars.

06-09-2007  Rock Under Broen, Middelfart, Denmark               (Audience)

Rock Under Broen is an open air festival in Middelfart, Denmark. Meat  Loaf played a shortened set list. Sound quality is actually very nice. Some crowd noise issues here and there but overall clear sound. Especially for an outdoor taping. Not a big fan of the concert though. Meat Loaf sounds okay but not good. Nothing special.

Very decent audio with clear strong vocal sounds. Meat Loaf and the concert are just so-so. 3 out of 5 stars.

06-21-2007  Seize the Night Frankfurt                                           (Audience)

Meat loaf claims it's one of his two favorite places to be. Still Frankfurt didn't get a complete encore as Gimme Shelter is oddly missing. This concert was videotaped and the audio is a rip from that bootleg. The audio is decent but not as good as the other bootlegs from this tour. The show is entertaining but no match for the Sheffield concert.

Audio is from a video bootleg and sounds just fair. The concert itself is entertaining enough. 3 out of 5 stars.

08-27-2007  3 Bats in Gilford, New Hampshire                        (Soundboard)

Apparently some crewmember of the Meadowbrook's Art Center in Gilford taped this for the video screens in the arena and put parts of the tape on internet. This is an audio rip of that tape. Not the best sound quality but very decent. Only 7 tracks and Meat Loaf sounds tired. Just 7 tracks from the show. So very incomplete. Not enjoyable at all in my opinion.

Decent audio although not great for a switchboard source. Meat does not sound good and show is incomplete. 2 out of 5 stars

07-09-2008  Casa de Notthingham                                               (Audience)

The follow up to the heavy criticized Bat 3 tour was the Casa De Carne set. Meat tried to have fun on the stage again. The fans got pleased with the return of Patti Russo on this tour. Still Meat's voice was very worn during the Casa Tour and this show is an example of it. Sound quality is a bit dark and heavy. Not very bad though.

Decent show and Meat Loaf sounds not too bad here. Sound quality is a bit on the dark and heavy side. 3 out of 5 stars.

Oh boy. I know who the taper is and I know he won't mind when I say that this is by far the worst audience recording from a Meat Loaf concert... ever. The sound is almost like an EVP session from an episode of Ghost Hunters. Where they hear some sort of sound through the static noise and claim it's a sentence from beyond. This could well be noise from beyond.

The audio is so terrible that you need to be a die-hard fan to want this. Almost impossible to make out what's happening. A sad 1 out of 5 stars.

What a great audience recording. Sound is clear, noise free and in balance. What a shame that this is one of Meat Loaf's worst performances. Meat Loaf sounds not like singing at all and the show is in one word horrible! If this taper had been in Nottingham there would at least have been one good Casa De Carne bootleg. Forget this one. Dreadful.

One of the weakest vocal performances ever from meat Loaf. This concert doesn't deserve this great sound quality. 2 out of 5 stars.

08-13-2008  Live in  Linköping, Sweden                                       (Audience)

Two days after the performance in Helsinki Meat Loaf played Sweden. He sounds better and the show sounds more interesting. The audio quality is okay. There is a lot of crowd noise like talking, screaming and singing but Meat's vocals are clear. This can't top the Nottingham bootleg though. But it's not very bad either.

Decent sound that suffers from too much crowd noise. Concert is ok for this tour, I guess. 3 out of 5 stars.

07-12-2010  Hang Cool at the Mohegan Sun Arena                     (Audience)

After the Bat III and Casa De Carne tour I gave up on ever hearing a decent Meat Loaf concert again. I couldn't have been more wrong. Meat rocks like he did a decade before during the hang Cool Tour. This show from Uncasville Connecticut is proof of that. Great audio quality that has some glitches during Paradise, Took the Words and Anything for Love. But overall great!

Another great Hang Cool concert from meat Loaf. This time from Wantagh, New York on July 14th, 2010. Great performance but the sound quality is way under par. The sound is heavy and has too much bass in it. Very hard to hear the vocals this way. Too bad as I really like the concerts from the hang Cool Tour a lot!

Not much fun listening to the audio on this bootleg. Hard to really hear Meat Loaf through all the heavy bass sound. 3 out of 5 stars.

07-16-2010  Hang Cool Live 2010                                               (Soundboard)

Fantastic! 5 tracks from the live concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. These tracks were recorded on July 16th, 2010 and they sound fantastic. Hot Patootie was released as a download track and the Hang Cool songs were created as a bonus CD gift that was handed out to all the UK concert visitors.

Fantastic sound quality. And I enjoyed the 5 tracks very much. They give a great impression of this tour. 5 out of 5 stars.

The Audio on this bootleg from the UK leg of the tour is not the worst but also certainly not the best. It sounds a bit from far away and the crowd is clearly noticeable. Sometimes the vocals are low. It's a great concert though. Meat Loaf sounds good, the show is entertaining and energetic. Almost complete. Hot Patootie fades in somewhere during the song.

The audio is listenable and slightly better than Wantagh. The concert is great. This gets 3 out of 5 stars.

This bootleg has the incomplete Manchester show. Some songs are missing and Paradise by the dashboard light is incomplete. The sound quality of this CD sounds pretty good. Sometimes a little this with a slight echo but clear enough to enjoy. Meat Loaf has also another great performance. The UK really got rocked!

Ireland got treated with a fantastic concert. Meat Loaf sounds great and it's a very good show. For some reason it's missing all of the audience talking bits. But the set list is complete though. The sound quality is free from side noises but sounds particularly thin. Recorded in Dublin, Ireland on February 18th, 2010.

This is a special CD. With 3 tracks from Hang Cool Teddy Bear, that were only released as downloads and 3 great live tracks from several Late Night shows during the promo of the album. It also includes the track that Team Backbone recorded for Celebrity Apprentice. As a bonus this has a great live version of I'd Lie For You from the 1994 David Letterman Late Night Show.

The audio is just great. Most are studio recordings and the live tracks are all TV sourced. 5 out of 5 stars.

It's an incomplete CD from the show from July 28, 2011. It's the show where Meat Loaf fainted during Los Angeloser. This bootleg doesn't have Los Angeloser and it doesn't have the moment that Meat passed out. But it does include a lengthy explanation from Meat Loaf why he fainted. They even improvised the moment into Paradise by the Dashboard Light.

Quality of the audio is okay. Meat Loaf sounds tired and weak though. Not pleasant to listen to. Just 2 out of 5 stars.

Not complete but quite entertaining. This concert from Aug 28, 2011 has a few nice surprises. Mercury Blues is one of those surprises. But also this version of Peace on Earth is different from the earlier tour. Exactly a month after Meat passed out but he sounds good again. Sound quality is also very decent despite some unwanted crowd noises. Track 1 and 4 are incomplete.

Audio is pretty nice. Meat Loaf's microphone sounds a bit low sometimes but overall very clear. The songs are entertaining too.  3 out of 5 stars.

06-27-2012  MMW Tour at the Wiltern Theater, Los Angeles   (Audience)

It's the first complete 2012 tour bootleg I got. This was taped at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles on June 27, 2012. The audio sounds quite heavy with lots of bass. And at times it's hard to hear Meat Loaf's vocals through all the loud music. Meat himself isn't as good as he was on the Hang Cool tour and seems to have a hard time keeping in tune of the music.

I think it's a good audience recording. Vocal mix too low, instruments too loud is not the taper's fault. I'm going to give this  3 out of 5 stars.

04-07-2013  Last at Bat from the SECC in Glasgow                 (Audience)

The 2nd show of the Last at Bat tour. It's almost complete, but missing are the encore and Meat Loaf's speeches. The audio isn't as strong as the later bootlegs and the show isn't as good as the later shows of this tour. In fact, I think this show is only interesting if you were there. There are some issues with the quality of the audio as well.

Audio is okay but vocals aren't always clear. The performance isn't as good as at the other concerts.  2 out of 5 stars.

This is my first personal audio recording of a concert. I used the Zoom H1 to record the 3rd concert from the Farewell tour. The audio is decent. The recorder was very close to the bass speaker which causes some distortions. Vocals are very clear though. Meat's voice isn't the best but the show is emotional and complete!

I'm pretty happy with this bootleg. I was in the 2nd row and close to the speakers. The sound is heavy but vocals are clear.  3 out of 5 stars.

There aren't too many bootlegs from the UK leg of this tour. So I was very happy to receive this one. Two days after the show in London, Meat performed in Birmingham. It's very similar although I prefer the London bootleg a bit more. Audio of this one has some issues.  There are some distortions and vocals aren't always very clear.

I love the German shows because they are getting bootlegged so well! This is a great sounding recording and a fabulous concert. Perhaps the best, at least one of the better concerts from the Last at Bat tour. Meat sounds good and the performance is complete. Audio is clear and has no distortions. Vocals are clear most of the time.

This is a very good sounding bootleg from Meat Loaf's German part of the Last at Bat tour. This was recorded at the 02 World in Berlin. It's the complete show and there are no distortions  in the sound. It's another great concert from this tour. Meat Loaf performances seems also slightly better than the London show.

Clean sound, no distortions. Vocals are a bit low at times but overall a great bootleg to listen to.  3 out of 5 stars.

This was ripped from the bootleg DVD. The sound is very decent but not as good as the other bootlegs from Germany. And, like the DVD, is misses the song All Revved Up. Still the concert is really great to listen to. Meat sounds very energetic and the crowd is really into it. Therefore there is also quite a bit of crowd noise to be detected, but it gives the concert more atmosphere!

Audio is very decent but not always clear. Lots of crowd interaction but not in an annoying way. Missing one song, so 3 out of 5 stars.

What a remarkable show. After 10 minutes Meat left the stage, not able to carry on. After some discussion in the band, Patti Russo did Dead Ringer by herself. Just when we thought the show was over, Meat Loaf returned, apologized and continued the concert. All in all an unique bootleg. Although Meat doesn't sound too good at the beginning, he gets better at the end.

Very nice recording again. Got this from a German fan who also videotaped the show.  Show is fair but the audio is superb. 4 out of 5 stars.

The quality of the audio on this bootleg and the one on the Oberhausen bootleg, just below, are very similar. In fact they both sound pretty good and are a joy to listen to. Meat sounds better than the show before in Stuttgart. With this German concert I have the complete German tour on audio. And listening back it seems all German shows were fantastic!

Complete set with superb audio. No distortions and hardly any crowd noise makes this one of the better bootlegs. 4  out of 5 stars.

One of the best performances this tour, from meat Loaf's part. It's clear that Meat enjoyed himself a lot with his final performance in Germany. Recorded on 8 May. Again the complete concert. The audio is a bit heavy but overall very good. Vocals are clear and there isn't much crowd disturbances during the songs. One of the best bootlegs from this tour.

Very enjoyable concert. Audio is clear and free from distortions. Meat is having fun on stage which makes it so much better. 5 out of 5 stars.

Perhaps the best performance of the tour. Unfortunately not the best bootleg. Although 90% sounds very decent there are a fair amount of 'clicks' during some songs. The songs that didn't suffer from them sound pretty good and Meat Loaf's vocals are clear. It's the complete show from 11 May from the Netherlands and a great goodbye to the Dutch fans.

Great performance, too bad for the 'clicking distortions' on several songs such as Objects, Frying Pan and Crying out Loud. Still 3 out of 5 stars.

Not impressed by this at all. Not really part of the Last at Bat' tour. The concert is quite boring and Meat doesn't sound that well. The lady singers are also not great and Patti Russo is clearly missed on this CD. The sound itself is a bit high pitched but clear. There is quite some audio noise and 'Out of the Frying Pan' is incomplete.

Under whelmed by the performance of Meat Loaf and the two blond girls. Audio is fair at best. Therefore only 2 out of 5 stars.

10-18-2015  Live in Concert - Phoenix, Arizona                            (Audience)

The second show from the short 'Live in Concert' tour resulted in the first bootleg of this 2015 tour. Recorded at the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix, Arizona on October 18. Meat Loaf's voice isn't great. The concert a bit boring and the bootleg misses 2 songs. The kind of show that's not very bad but very forgettable.

Sound is okay. Vocals are clear enough and no distortions. But the concert is boring and Meat doesn't sound good . A generous 3 out of 5 stars.

10-28-2015  Live in Concert - Grand Prairie, Texas                      (Audience)

The first complete bootleg of the 2015 tour. This time from the Verizon Theater in Grand Prairie, Texas. Where the Arizona bootleg misses two songs and some of Meat's chatter, this has it all. Unfortunately Meat sounds hoarse and the vocals aren't always clear. Despite the nice set list the show also seems a bit boring. Not my favorite tour.

The audio is okay. Plenty of audience noise during the show and the vocals are sometimes hard to hear. But no distortions.  3 out of 5 stars.

04-11-2016  Live in Concert - Nashville, Tennessee                     (Audience)

This is the complete show from Nashville. It's recorded from behind the stage and has a few audio mix problems. Meat Loaf's vocals are very hard to hear at the first three songs. Then the vocal mix is turned up high and Meat's voice are very clear. Snare instruments are almost mixed out though. Yet no distortions and minimal audience chatter.

Meat Loaf's vocals are clear but his voice sounds weak. But it s the complete show and the crowd seems into it.  3 out of 5 stars.

06-28-2016  Live in Concert - Abbotsford, Canada                     (Audience)

Not the best audio. Meat Loaf's vocals are hard to hear and the sound is way to loud. Making it anything but a pleasure to listen to. It's the complete concert though. And the crowd seem to be in on it. I can't help it but this tour is just terrible. The sound guy was terrible, the band was okay but the vocals, if you can hear them are also bad.

Much crowd noise, which for once is a positive thing. Meat sounds bad and the audio is overall way under par.  2 out of 5 stars.
