THE SIGNED COLLECTION

Although I'm not a real collector, I do have some signed items from my favorite artist. Almost all of those are CD's. Like the Bat out of Hell trilogy. To be honest I never cared too much for signed editions but now that I have quite a few I really would like to make my collection complete by having all official releases signed. Oh well, below you can find my list of signed albums and if there's a story to add you can read it there too
BAT OUT OF HELL SIGNED

Bat out of Hell

This is a must have, I guess. I got this from a member of the Meat Loaf fan forum. I didn't have to pay too much for it. Besides I'm not the kind of person to pay ridiculous prices for a CD. Just because it has an autograph on it doesn't mean it's worth over 50,--

It looks genuine to me and I'm happy with it.

BAT OUT OF HELL 2 SIGNED

Bat out of Hell 2

It's a bit as the same story as the first. Got this at an internet auction for little money. Not much to say about it, except that this also looks real to me. One of the many signed CD's that I didn't have signed myself.

But this one also looks genuine.

BAT OUT OF HELL 3 SIGNED

Bat out of Hell 3

Not the best of the Bat albums, but with this signed album I got the Bat trilogy complete. This was acquired for me by someone who went to a Meat Loaf signing. So I'm pretty sure it's the real deal.

To complete the trilogy this is more than a great addition to my collection.

DEAD RINGER SIGNED

Dead Ringer

This was given to me as a present. Although I'm not sure how it was obtained I think it might have been bought from the internet. I am grateful for getting this. But not much to tell about it

Compared to other signatures this one also looks real to me

BAD ATTITUDE SIGNED

Bad Attitude

Signed with a silver marker. Another present I received. This one was also bought from the internet for me. Apparently older albums are higher priced on the internet so I hope this was a bargain. Looks very nice though.

Silver marker, genuine looking signature. Very happy with it.

STORYTELLERS SIGNED

Storytellers

Got this from the same person where I got the Bat Out of Hell CD from. Bought this with Bat in one buy on the Meat Loaf fan forum. Not something I desperately wanted but the price was too good to let this slip.

It looks real compared to the other signed material.

COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT BETTER SIGNED

Couldn't Have Said it Better

Obtained this one from the 2003 concert that Meat Loaf gave in Amsterdam. The concert was great and outside they were selling this signed album to the fans. Made it a perfect day.

As this is a concert CD it's very obvious to me it must be genuine.

COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT BETTER SIGNED

Couldn't Have Said it Better

Yup got it twice. The red one is the Dutch edition. I believe this is the UK edition. This one was signed by Meat Loaf at a Meet and Greet session. I wasn't there but got it from a friend.

Signed at a Meet and Greet. It's obvious very real.

HANG COOL TEDDY BEAR SIGNED

Hang Cool Teddy Bear

Ordered this from play.com. It's an exclusive signed slip case for the CD that was available for limited time. Play.com placed a video on their website showing Meat signing a whole bunch of those. Because they are so limited and exclusive I am very happy with it.

Video proof (if I ever needed it) of the signature. It's the real deal

HANG COOL TEDDY BEAR DELUXE 2 CD EDITION SIGNED

Hang Cool Teddy Bear DeLuxe 2CD Edition

This one has a story to it. This was signed by Meat Loaf in my presence. In fact it was the first time I ever met Meat Loaf. Signed during the signing session on February 28, 2012 at HMV in Oxford street, London. I had a bunch of items I wanted Meat to sign. Unfortunately there was a '1 item only' rule and sheer impossible to get more than one item signed. I also had a photo book that I really wanted to have signed so that was it. Luckily my fiancée was with me at the signing and she walked up behind me, so I gave her this CD book to sign. When she walked up to get the autograph she mentioned to Meat Loaf that we're getting married on his birthday (Sept 27, 2012). He looked at me and asked her "With him? Well good luck with that." He then started to laugh

So it's no surprise I have positive memories about this signed object. And I'm very happy my fiancée came with me to London! This is a confirmed legitimate autograph as the pictures below show.

HELL IN A HANDBASKET SIGNED

Hell in a Handbaket

This is the early Australian release of the album. The album was released on Sept 30, 2011. Which was 5 months before the rest of the World would get their copy. I ordered this from jbhifionline.com, an Australian website. They offered this exclusive signed album only to pre-orders.

It's signed by a silver pen and obviously real..

HELL IN A HANDBASKET SIGNED

Hell in a Handbaket

And yes another signed copy of this album. Only this time from the European release from February 27, 2012. This one was pre-ordered from play.com. Again they offered an exclusive signed copy for limited time just like they did with Hang Cool Teddy Bear.

Meat loaf confirmed at the HMV signing session that they are real.

HELL IN A HANDBASKET SIGNED

Hell in a Handbaket

And this makes three! My third signed edition of this album is the U.S. edition. Released on 13 March, 2012. Another pre-order exclusive from a promotion session. It's signed by a silver marker just like the others.

It's an official pre-order release so I'm certain it's real.

PERSONAL CONCERT PHOTO BOOK SIGNED

Personal Concert Photo Book

Without a doubt this is my most cherished personal signed Meat Loaf item. I had this photo book printed a few year ago. It contains pictures and info from the Meat loaf concerts I visited. I put quite some time in creating the book and it also contains images from the Dutch Meat loaf fan board BBQ. For me personally a great fan memorabilia! And when it was announced that Meat Loaf would be holding a signing session at the HMV in Oxford Street, London on February 28, 2012, I knew I had to have this signed. So I booked a last minute train trip from the Netherlands to London and took my fiancée with me. After a great day in London we met up with fans of the UK meat Loaf fan forum and ended up meeting Meat Loaf. During the session there was almost no time to talk to Meat Loaf but this book draw his attention which gave me time for a short conversation with him. He asked about the pictures and took time to go through the pages. Although he had forgotten his glasses. It was a great experience for me.

My favorite signed item is definitely authentic as Meat Loaf put his autograph while I was having a conversation with the man. Great great memories that I will cherish for a long time!
